Dorothy Morgan (USA) I stayed with Wlady for a little over a week after an attempt to climb Chimborazo that didnt work out. During that time we went trekking to Puñay and the Inca Trail, visited the local hotsprings and he gave me great directions to go on a day hike by myself.
Puñay is a mountain with a pre-Incan pyramid on top. I never would have even known about it, or appreciated it’s significance without Wlady. We watched the sun set into the clouds blanketing the coast, and camped out on top of the mountain.
The trek on the Inca Trail was quite an adventure because neither of us had been there before and did not have very good directions…. one of the local farmers sent us in the wrong direction and we ended up climbing up and over a steep mountain in order to get back to the trail. Even though we didn’t make it to Ingapirca, it was still a very fun trek and Wlady showed he was able to have fun and make good decisions even when things don’t go as planned. Next time though he’ll know exactly where to go and will make it to Ingapirca with no problem!
Wlady also helped me find a guide to Chimborazo, where conditions had improved and I was able to summit on Nov 20 at 5:30 am!
Thanks for a great time, and hope to travel with you again!
Scott Dillon (Sydney, Australia) I stayed with Wlady in September 08 for one whole month. It was incredible. From climbing to the top of the summit of Cotopaxi, to searching for lost hot springs from 30 years ago in the mountains, to running with the bulls, to climbing and sleeping above the gods it was totally incredible. something i will never ever forget and am so grateful i got the chance to meet someone with so much knowledge and the hospitality him and his mother showed me while i was there was unbelievable.
Aurita Maldonado (USA) I went with Wlady into the jungle for 3 days, on a day trek around Baños, and on a 2 day horse trek around Chimborazo. I had an absolute blast. In the jungle we stayed in a jungle hut, ate fresh tilapia, visited an animal conservatory, trekked in the jungle, went birdwatching, river bathing, and even went dancing. (He’s not a bad salsa dancer).
In Baños, we had a great time. He’s definitely a great trekker. The horse riding was amazing. The highlands were beautiful. Wlady had everything ready for us, for less than half the price of other tours. We had meals, transportation, lodging, and great guides. We visited Salinas and thermal hot springs. It was an all around great adventure.
Not to mention the night before both trips, Wlady stayed up until after 2 AM to get me from the bus station without complaint.
Wlady made my trip memorable! I definitely recommend touring with him!
